rstartezi ubuntu si intri in safemode .... a 2-a optiune te autentifici si rulezi de acolo comanda respectiva

sau

deschizi consola

am mai citit pe net si se pare ca nu sunt singurul cu problema asta.

are cineva pechetul asta?

Just to note what I did:
Used synaptic to install
linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24-16-server (+ its dependencies)
then installed
nvidia-glx-new

asta stiam insa ai nevoie de net ... linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24-16-server instaleaza mai multe pachete nu numai unul ....

am vrut sa fac dupa modelul ala cu sharing connection prin bluetooth dar nu are nici un rezultat dupa ce dau browse:

care ar fi cea mai simpla cale de a face sa mearga conexiunea de sharing din telefon pe ubuntu?

am incercat si prin bluetooth si prin cablu si pana acum nimic. Prin cablu e ca si cum nici nu l-ar vedea...

in windows dau drumul la share si apare waiting for usb cable ,bag in cablu si gata ,connected...

in ubuntu, cand bag in usb nimic. nici asta nu are plug and play (ca sabayon)?

Ba da, are plug & play.

Am avut kiwi(bazat pe ubuntu, adik acelasi dar cu ceva drivere si programe multimedia incluse la instalare), si apoi am instalat windowsul si nu mai stiu cum sa bootez in linux ca nu imi da nicaieri. Mi-a zis un prieten ca ar trebui sa instalez iar GRUB de pe cd da numai ca nu il gasesc....plsss help!!!

Boot-ezi de pe LiveCD, pornesti Terminalul si tastezi urmatoarea comanda:

sudo grub

apoi rulezi:
find /boot/grub/stage1

aici iti va apare ceva de genul hd(0,2), de exemplu.

Rulezi apoi:
root (hdx,x)

inlocuiesti hd(x,x) cu ce iti apare dupa rularea comenzii precedente

Apoi rulezi:
setup (hdx)

La fel, inlocuiesti x din (hdx) cu primul numar care ti-a aparut mai sus

Si, in final, rulezi:
quit

Daca ai facut totul cum trebuie, ar trebui ca GRUB sa apara la urmatorul boot.

pai nu-mi vede telefonul...
nici in GnomePPP ala nu vede ca modem...

Ciudat ca la tine, Cint, nu iti poate descoperi serviciile... Practic telefonul e detectat prin bluetooth, dar cand scanezi dupa servicii... nimic. Nu imi dau seama care ar fi problema. Poti incerca cu o cautare pe Google dupa "bluetooth <model telefon> ubuntu gprs", dar nu stiu daca vei gasi ceva concret...

am incercat si cu s200. la fel...nu vede nimic cand dau browsing. prin cablu usb nu le vede...

am gasit un ghid asemanator :
Bluetooth networking with Windows Mobile 5 under Ubuntu 7.04

It is quite easy to share the internet connection with Ubuntu 7.04 laptop between Windows Mobile 5 pocket PC for HSDPA.

Step 1
Ubuntu 7.04 side :

Step 1a
Install the following packages :

sudo apt-get install bluez-pin bluez-utils gnome-bluetooth

Step 1b
Turn on the Bluetooth of Pocket PC and find the Pocket PC from the Ubuntu Laptop by issuing :

hcitool scan

Step 1c
Then, you will see the following (the address is different from yours) :

Scanning ...
00:0E:07:37:7C:BD Samiux

Step 1d
Set the passwords of the pairing at Ubuntu laptop (where “Samiux" is the identification of Pocket PC) :

bluez-pin in Samiux
bluez-pin out Samiux

I set both password as the same.

Step 1e
Append the following lines to “/etc/network/interfaces" :

sudo nano /etc/network/interfaces

auto bnep0
iface bnep0 inet dhcp

Step 2
Pocket PC side :

Step 2a
Turn on your Pocket PC’s Bluetooth connection and set its visibility to ’Show to all’ or equivalent.

Step 2b
On your Pocket PC to Start->Programs->Internet Sharing, choose Bluetooth PAN, and your NetworkConnection and choose Connect.

Step 3
Then, connect your Ubuntu 7.04 laptop to your Pocket PC :

sudo modprobe bnep
sudo pand -connect 00:0E:07:37:7C:BD

Enter passwords (you have set them previously) on Pocket PC and laptop.

Step 4
Now, you will get an IP and you can surf the internet with the connection of Bluetooth.

When you want to reconnect to the internet again after disconnection, you just repeat the Step 2 to 3.
