-in orice retea SMS-ul costa aprox.20 ct iar la cartelele prepay Vodafone cele internationale costa chiar 29 ct/ SMS.
-Minutul in timpul zilei ajunge spre alte retele mobile la 70 ct/min
-E-Plus a lansat serviciul BASE ( www.base.de ) un abonament de 25 euro/luna care iti ofera convorbiri nelimitate spre retelele de telefonie fixa si spre E-Plus.

50% more talk time for intrafamily calls with Vodafones Greece new Family Programmes
Vodafone - is the 1rst operator to offer i another way to make their communication easier and cheaper!
Vodafones Family Programmes enabled all subscribers, both old and new, to better organise their family budget and save money.
Now Vodafone is taking another step ahead, launching the new Vodafone 500 and 720 Family Programmes for intrafamily calls. Family members now benefit from 50% more talk time, thus being able to talk more than ever.
With Vodafones new programmes, a family subscribed under the Vodafone 720 Family Programme are now able to share 360 minutes more for intrafamily calls. Similarly, a family under the Vodafone 500 Family Programme are now able to share 250 minutes more for cell phone conversations among them.
In addition to the above, Vodafone's family programmes also offer:
-4 cell numbers at only 1 fixed charge
-500 minutes (or 720 minutes respectively) shared among family members for all other calls to cell and fixed phone numbers.
Vodafones intrafamily calls are offered to families having selected either V500 or V720 Family Programmes at a monthly fixed charge of EUR 14 + VAT per family.
This monthly fixed charge ensures 250 or 360 more free talk minutes for Vodafone 500 and Vodafone 720 Programmes respectively, while charge after free talk is out will be: EUR 0.198/minute.

Vodafone At Home Talk and Web Box comes with attractive tariffs for telephony and Internet usage in the At Home Zone. Existing fixed network devices - analogue telephone, PC and notebook (also via WLAN), answerphone and/or printer - can be connected to the Vodafone At Home Talk and Web Box. This product's most convincing attribute is that it is not associated with the time and cost-consuming process of installing and registering a conventional fixed network connection. The Talk and Web Box doesn't have to be installed at a specific place in the home. It is simply positioned at the most convenient location for the customer. Simply plug the box into the mains and connect up the terminal devices.
The Talk and Web Box enables customers to make phone calls and surf the Internet at the same time. If network coverage is available, the connection is established via UMTS to provide data transfer rates that are up to 6 times faster than ISDN. Vodafone already offers UMTS network coverage in more than 1200 German towns and cities.

These Quickphone kiosks are just the beginning of what Vodafone hopes to become a vending empire across all of Britain, and then, the world!
For £30/$53 (payable via cash or chip and pin credit cards), punters will get a fully charged handset and £1 worth of calling credit which can be topped off over the phone, at cash machines, or in shops. Machines will be stocked with three different phone models which will be refreshed monthly reflecting the latest trends. Sounds like the perfect plan to recycle all those soon to be defunct fag machines in English bars and pubs.

Vodafone today announces that it has agreed to sell its 100% interest in Vodafone Sweden to Telenor, the pan-Nordic telecommunications operator.
Vodafone Sweden is being sold for an Enterprise Value of EUR 1,035 million (GBP 704 million), implying an Enterprise Value to EBITDA multiple of 11x for the financial year ending 31 March 2006. Net cash proceeds to Vodafone after assumption of net debt by Telenor will be approximately EUR 970 million (GBP 660 million).
Commenting on the transaction, Arun Sarin, Chief Executive of Vodafone, said:
"We have a good business in Sweden, but the particular industry structure and regulatory environment means that it makes more sense for our customers, our employees and our shareholders for a pan-Nordic player like Telenor to own the company. I'm sure that Telenor will be able to serve our customers well, particularly in the corporate sector, given its presence across the Nordic region."
Vodafone and Telenor have agreed the terms of a Partner Network Agreement in Sweden, allowing Vodafone Sweden and Vodafone customers to continue to benefit from Vodafone's global brand, products and services in Sweden.
As a result of the transaction, Vodafone will record an impairment charge of approximately GBP 0.5 billion in its interim results for the six months ended 30 September 2005.
The sale is expected to close by the end of calendar year 2005, subject to EU regulatory approval.31 October 2005 Vodafone Group

Vodafone Group has announced the launch of the international mobile TV service. The subscribers of 3G Vodafone networks will have the opportunity to watch TV programs adjusted for small screens of cell phones.
The operator managed to engage in the project the world popular content providers, such as
-HBO and
-20th Century Fox TV.
In the result the Vodafone subscribers will watch different TV programs, soap operas, sport and entertainment programs.
The list includes:
- “Sex and the City" series,
-Eurosport,
-MTV and
-Discovery channels.
The service will be available only from 3G cell phones supporting Vodafone live! service. It will be launched this month in Vodafone networks, the list of programs will vary in different countries.

Suedia are cea mai buna acoperire 3G din Europa
Autoritatea suedeza de reglementare in domeniul telecomunicatiilor, PTS a declarat ca tara sa are cea mai buna acoperire 3G din Europa - mentionand ca 85% din populatia Suediei are acoperire 3G.
Marea Britanie si Italia sunt pe locurile doi si trei, in ceea ce priveste cea mai buna acoperire din Europa. Aproximativ 75% din populatia Marii Britanii si 60% din populatia Italiei are acoperire 3G. Aceste cifre reies dintr-un raport despre dezvoltarea tehnologiei 3G in Europa si restul lumii, pe care PTS l-a comandat prin intermediul Stelacon. “Este o placere sa observam ca avem o buna acoperire in Suedia si ca suntem bine plasati in acest domeniu comparativ cu alte tari din Europa. Operatorii au promis o si mai buna acoperire, in viitorul apropiat, si inca mai sunt multi suedezi care nu au acces la tehnologia 3G." a declarat Directorul General al PTS, Marianne Treschow.
In ofertele lor, operatorii 3G, au promis o acoperire care sa satisfaca nevoile a 8.860.000 de suedezi. PTS actioneaza in continuare, incurajandu-i pe operatorii 3G sa isi extinda retelele asa cum au promis.
